Apostle Curtis Louis

Apostle Curtis Louis was born on September 7, 1957 in Newton, Mississippi. After the death of his mother, his family moved to Hardwood, Louisiana when he was 9 years old. At the age of 15, they moved again to Baton Rouge, Louisiana, a move that resulted in negative circumstances. For it was there, in Baton Rouge, that he began participating in gang related and other activities that put his life on a downward spiral; nevertheless, God was merciful. After nearly losing his life on 3 separate occasions, and with the untimely death of his father, Apostle Curtis Louis began to seek God for help. In 1979, God instructed Apostle Louis in a dream to move to Houston, Texas, where he found the Lord Jesus Christ on March 4, 1980. A year later, he was called into the ministry and began preaching in different venues throughout the city.

While preaching, he attended the Southside Theological Seminary, Lakewood Bible Institute, and Bible Teachers International School of Ministry. In 1987, the Lord called him back to Baton Rouge for ministry and later to legally establish the ministry that began on the streets of Houston, Texas: Someone Cares Ministry Center Church, Inc. He then won all of his siblings to Christ, preached on three radio stations, served as pastor of the Little Zion Baptist Church for seven years, as well as worked with some of the most influential churches in the city. Then, as God would have it, in August of 2007, Apostle Louis heard the voice of the Lord instructing him to “sell what you have, move back to Houston, and follow Me.” As the Lord opened doors, Apostle Louis was ready with a word of revival, reformation, restoration, and unity for the body of Christ, as the Father confirmed His word with signs following. In 2010 Apostle Louis’s ministry extended once again to Louisiana to continue in the path and purpose that God has now extended to include ministry both Texas, Louisiana and to the uttermost parts of the world.

In addition, in 2016 the Lord extended Apostle Louis’ ministry to connect with the body of Christ at Refuge Temple Ministries under the leadership of Chief Apostle Wendell Archie; who has positioned him as senior pastor of the Refuge Temple Ministries, Baton Rouge location. Apostle is married to the lovely Melva Louis and is the father of 4 sons and 3 daughters. As he is allowed to minister today, he comes with a message of the love of God, unity, and caring for all the world and every creature.
