Pastor Hudson was born in Lake Charles, LA. In 1989, he received the Holy Ghost at the young age of 5. Born and raised within the ministry, he spent his early years of salvation at Refuge Temple Ministries in Welsh, LA under the pastorship of Bishop Leonard Wilson. Years later he would relocate, along with the entire church, to the ministry in Lake Charles, LA to continue in the Lord.
In 2003, Pastor Hudson, then a high school graduate, moved to Monroe, LA to attend the University of Louisiana-Monroe to pursue what he thought would be his education alone, but God had greater plans in store. Within a matter of days, God began to deal with him concerning the souls of young men and women on the college campus. As his burden for souls continued to grow, he began conducting bible studies out of his dorm room. As attendance increased, the bible studies were moved to a larger location on campus. They would travel to Lake Charles, LA on Sunday mornings to attend church faithfully. Jesus said that, “If my name be lifted up from the earth, I will draw all men unto me”. At the preaching of the Word of God, young men and women began to come unto repentance, some receiving the gift of the Holy Ghost. Lives of people began to transform as they received the truth of God’s Word.
God was moving in the lives of many. However, many students began to graduate, some returning home and others to pursue their career. Attendance dropped due to these circumstances, leaving behind just a faithful few, but Pastor Hudson knew that Word of God said to despise not small beginnings. As the Word continued to go forth, God began to draw not only college students, but people throughout the community from various walks of life. As the ministry continued to grow, it went from just bible studies on a college campus, to bible studies and church services in homes. Being a young man, Pastor Hudson had to overcome many obstacles and circumstances, but he knew that Paul once told Timothy: “Let no man despise thy youth; but be thou an example of the believers, in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity (1Tim 4:12-KJV).” He also knew the importance of maintaining a faithful connection to his senior pastor and bishop. He believed the scripture that says: ‘it’s not by might, nor by power, but by my Spirit saith the Lord of hosts,’ and that the power of deliverance rested not in a man’s ability, but in God’s Word.
In 2008, the ministry began to have church services in a Baptist church facility on Sunday nights. In 2009, services were held in various locations from another local community church, to the homes of the saints. In February 2010, the first official Sunday morning church service was held at the Clarion Inn & Suites, a local hotel in Monroe, LA. In 2014, the ministry moved from this hotel to their current church facility in West Monroe, LA. Due to the success of several outreach church services and door-to-door campaigns, the ministry has made a mark in their region as a place of holiness and refuge for God’s people. Henceforth, God continues to draw in people that are hungry for God and the truth of his Word.
